How to get to Senri-Chuo
Senri-Chuo is a town where the Senri-Hankyu Hotel is located. Also most
buses to the Suita Campus at Osaka University depart from there.
Itami Airport (Osaka Airport)
Osaka monorail operates between the airport to Senri-Chuo station (JPY
320, 12 minutes).
Kansai International Airport (KIX)
There are many routes between KIX and major stations on the Mido-Suji subway
line, which runs north to south starting from Senri-Chuo and stopping at
Shin-Osaka, Umeda (next to Osaka station), Shinsaibashi, and Namba. (Precisely,
the beginning part of this line is called by a different name (the Kita-Osaka
Kyuko line), because it is run by a different company.)
The fastest way by train to the center of Osaka is the Nankai express Rapit,
which reaches Namba station (JPY 1390, 31 minutes). Nankai company also
runs slower trains to Namba station (JPY 890, 47 minutes).
The JR Haruka limited airport express operates between the airport and
Shin-Osaka station (JPY 2780, 48 minutes). Regular JR expresses called
Kanku Kaisoku also operate between KIX and Osaka station (next to Umeda
station, JPY 1160, 61 minutes).
Limousine buses operates from KIX to OCAT (near Namba station, JPY 880,
45 minutes), Umeda station (JPY 1300, 65 minutes), and Itami Airport (JPY
1700, 75 minutes). The time varies depending on traffic conditions.
The Mido-Suji line runs to Senri-Chuo from Namba station (JPY 390, 30 minutes),
Umeda station (JPY 350, 20 minutes), and
Shin-Osaka station (JPY 320, 13 minutes). |

How to get to the conference site
Special bus
During the symposium, special buses will operate between the Senri-Hankyu
Hotel and the conference site. It takes around 15 minutes one way. The
departure time is as follows:

Public bus
There are frequent public buses between Senri-Chuo and Osaka University. They take around 20 minutes (JPY 210), depending on routes and traffic conditions. These bus lines are: No. 100, No. 103, No. 105 and No. 164. They depart from No. 6 bus stop. (Map 1)
It is two minutes walk to the conference site from the bus stop at Osaka University Administration Bureau. (Map 2)
Monorail
It is possible to get to Osaka University (Handai-Byouin-Mae station) from Senri-Chuo by monorail (JPY 280, about 25 minutes); but it is necessary to change lines at Bampaku-Kinen-Koen Station. From Handai-Byouin-Mae station, it is 10 minutes walk to the conference site. (Map 2)
Taxi
A direct taxi costs roughly JPY 2000 (15 minutes) from Senri-Chuo. When
using taxi to get to the conference site, please give the driver the exact
name of the conference site (that is, the Convention Center at Osaka University.) |
